In order to preserve a part of the record of the legal profession in Tennessee,
the Fellows created and support the “Legal History Project.” Begun in 1998, its
purpose is to conduct video interviews of senior attorneys about their lives
and experiences in the law. The individual interviews are archived by the
Foundation for viewing and use by scholars, historians, colleagues and friends
of the interviewees.
The Project has also completed several video “collages” that group the interviewees
by year and feature the “best moments” on selected topics. The videos are
professionally produced, complete with titles and music. The running time of
each video collage is approximately 30 minutes.
All materials produced by the Legal History Project are available for loan
or purchase. Please contact
