About Us
The Tennessee Bar Foundation was founded in 1982 with a mission to honor distinguished attorneys as “Fellows”, support law-related public interest projects, and administer Tennessee’s IOLTA (Interest on Lawyers’ Trust Accounts) program.
Board of Trustees
The Foundation is governed by a 12-member board. The Chair, Chair-Elect and Immediate Past Chair serve one-year terms. Geographic distribution is ensured by the election of three Trustees per Grand Division (east, middle, west) who serve three-year terms and whose terms are staggered.

The Foundation’s office is located in the Historic Castner-Knott Building, at the corner of Church Street and Anne Dallas Dudley Boulevard (formerly known as Capitol Boulevard) which is between 6th and 7th avenues, North, in downtown Nashville.
